She takes to living in California like a bird to water and is having the time of her life. She has even developed a crush on a local hunky bartender, N This story focuses on the only girl in the French de Laurent family. She has even developed a crush on a local hunky bartender, Nick Matthews. The only bad part in the equation is that Nick is set to marry within days. When Nick learns that his so-called "love" has embezzled all his money, he calls off the wedding, but is now in serious peril of losing the one thing he treasures - his restaurant.
I adore Ms. Edward's writing and her latest novel does not disappoint. Nick oozes sex appeal and Lecie can't help but fall for him, but make no mistake, Nick is a good guy.
I even fell for him - that's how real his character became for me. The author is masterful at creating sexual tension between these two as well as misunderstandings and longing. The secondary characters were rich and added so much to the story. You can't go wrong reading the Billionaire Games series. Each book is a treat in their own right, but put them all together and you've got swoon worthy characters.

I have read other books by this author and they just keep getting better. I really love this series and I know that I am in a treat. I loved the characters. They both have soft hearts and want to help other people out. They never want to hurt anyone but that doesn't keep them from getting hurt. I liked the storyline and I had a great time reading this book. I had the ending that I was wanting and hated when I reached the end.
If you have never read this series you really need to. These are the books that make you love romance. Dec 02, Melissa Haggerty rated it it was amazing. This was a short and sweet romance. I enjoyed the glimpses of old favorites, like Tasha and Julian, and I loved getting to know more about Lecie.
This story moves rather quickly over a short period of time, but the plot is interesting. I would have happily read much more. Lecie is the same spunky girl from the first books. Only, now she is gaining independence.
I thought that was great for her as a character. She was learning to rely on herself and to not let her father dictate her life. I like how bravely she handled everything that happened. Nick is such a great character. He is always trying to do what is right, and he has great morals.
The Marriage Fix was a great read. That man has got to learn to let go a little. I loved the scheming and the drama. It was nice that, although there may have been some lust at first sight, the relationship developed some over time.

The de Laurent family once again with all their money and power dominate as they do best. Lecie begins very determined to step out of the family's shadow. Somewhere along the way she loses a bit of her drive and failed to win me over completely. Nick is easily the winner of my affections in this story. Although I hope for that happy endi Lecie is a strong willed young woman with an old school, controlling father.
Although I hope for that happy ending between them their relationship lacked that ignition to really get me connected. Things moved briskly which allowed little time to really connect. It is an enjoyable romance however, especially for those that have read the first two of this series. The Marriage Fix is book 3 in a trilogy called Billionaire Games, but I do not think I suffered by not reading the first two installments. I found that the premise was good but the storyline wasn't as strong as I would have liked.
The pacing was uneven, the first half of the book moved slowly. What I did like was the happily ever after - the ending was quite satisfying. The sexual tension between the primary couple when the story picked up in the second half was actually quite well written, an The Marriage Fix is book 3 in a trilogy called Billionaire Games, but I do not think I suffered by not reading the first two installments.
The sexual tension between the primary couple when the story picked up in the second half was actually quite well written, and the characters both primary and secondary were quite likeable and engaging. I would be interested in reading the previous books. Sep 04, Snarky Mom rated it liked it. I did see the obvious romance for what it was and not some deep complicated commentary on modern society. This was a fun light read and totally leaves you with a good taste in your mouth. But did Camille have to be a virgin?! It really didn't matter because Julian wasn't one and he didn't even notice the first time they made love or any other time in the story.
